Background: Graduated 2014 from 50ish ranked school, 3.5 in Econ and English. I spent the last year at a muni advisory firm and started just a few weeks ago at a large trading firm in financial ops. I am working with vba and sql but obviously this is more of a backoffice role.
My plans are to sit for CFA 1 next June and ideally sit for level 2 a year later. Afterwards I'd like to transition into a sell-side research analyst role. Is this reasonable and something that can be done this way or is there a better path? Also, assuming I will be applying at that time, how can I best prepare in other ways?
