Hello,
My firm, Bristlecone Capital (bristleconecapitalresearch dot com) has built a powerful research platform for finding signals/strategies based on using external data sets to build predictive models in the equities and futures market.
The software is especially adept at working from fundamentals data and event-based data sets and can consider thousands of symbols at a time at one minute intervals.
Since much of the analysis/research process is now fully automated, we can mine new data sets for signals quite quickly and efficiently, and having already looked at many of the common things (macro economic events, earnings, etc.) we are looking for new novel data sets to feed into our software. We are building some of these on our own, however...
I'm wondering if anyone out there, either individual traders or funds would be interested in a trade of novel data sets that they have access to in exchange for our data modeling/research services for the data set. Something like... you give us the data, we run it and share the model results with you. A win for both of us
Alternatively, if you're not interested in our modeling, I would be open to swapping some novel/unusual data sets that we are curating ourselves in house for data sets you may have that we don't currently have access to.
Examples of data we would be interested in:
* Fundamentals commodities data sets related to energy and agriculture
* Raw historical news feeds for sentiment analysis processing
* Summary of expected and actual changes in Russell 2000 composition leading up to the rebalancing for the last 5 years
...that sort of thing.
If you think there's potential for collaboration, please reach out.
Cheers
Andrew
