First, sorry that it doesn't necessarily fit ER, however, I didn't know which forum would be most appropriate.
I am studying BSc Economics and am interested in economic research, but have no aspirations of going into academia. I did an internship at the central bank of my country (not FED or ECB like) where I also did research, mainly macroeconomic/financial sector. Now I am thinking about interning at a research division (not ER) in a BB. What would be the exit opportunities assuming I would work there. In the future, I would like to work for a larger public institution such as central banks, government pension fund or a development bank in research related fields. Will working at a research department in a BB provide me with a stronger profile?
Also, what is the salary in such a division, as it is not necessarily revenue-generating as ER is?
