Exit opps for post-MBA Equity Research?

If I had a CFA Level 3 license and obtained a position as a sell-side ER associate post-MBA, what would be some possible exit opps after two years of ER? And what is the compensation like for an ER associate post-MBA in a major financial hub (NYC, Chicago, Houston, etc.)
