Best way to get constant news on your companies?

Hello friends,

Not working in equity research right now, but that's where I want to be down the road. The build a background, I follow a handful of companies very closely. I model them out and like to test how my forecasts come out vs the actuals.

I've been spoiled at my current job. I have a Bloomberg, so I have a great way of seeing all headlines and filings for my companies throughout the day. Aside from Bloomberg (because there's no guarantee I'll have one forever), do you guys have recommendations for real-time news on a list of companies?

Right now I also use:
- Seeking Alpha --> Set up a portfolio of the names and they send me a pin notification to mobile when one of their authors writes a story on them
- Subscribe to the companies' IR mailing list (not optimal, but at least I don't miss a filing).

I've heard of a few paid sources like Flyonthewall, but if there are other free services out there, I might as well try those out. Thanks,

Miguel
