Hi all!
I'm currently a rising senior at a Canadian undergrad B-school looking to recruit for ER (full time). This summer I'm interning at a multinational insurance company as a part of their GA investing team covering fixed income (mostly just corporate & municipal bonds). As a part of the job I've been doing tons of credit analysis work on different issuers and writing credit review reports. While FI has been interest I would still prefer to work with equities. I particularly like ER (in Canada) but given the limited positions available and an unrelated summer internship, I'm not exactly sure what my chances are, if any.
(I've worked at a boutique AM and have been involved with my school's finance club)
Knowing WSO never disappoints I would like to get some advice on how I can position myself for FT and whether the skills I'm learning now are transferable.
Thanks,
Canadian Monkey
